IT Manager - Business Applications Support

Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer, this lead IT position is responsible for the following:
  • Develop relationships and gaining credibility with the key stakeholders within the business units supported;
  • Provide IT leadership in defining requirements for new technologies and software solutions;
  • Develop plans and budgets to support the approval, funding and resourcing of the total system requirements;
  • Lead the application support team to meet demands, delivery and cost commitments;
  • Build a capability to support solutions to meet business needs;
  • Lead a team of Support Analysts in providing end-to-end support of assigned applications including Point-of-Sale (POS), Financial, Inventory Management, Human Resources, etc.;
  • Work on tickets to support production and test applications;
  • Liaise with key vendors to assist with application support;
  • Present and manage application change through the change management process;
  • Supervise resources within budget and project timelines;
  • On-call availability as directed.

The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business with a focus in information technology. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered;
  • Extensive experience in the leadership and management of delivery and situations typically gained through 5 -10 years IT management experience;
  • Proven leadership with ability to gain credibility and confidence in stakeholders;
  • Thorough understanding of the software and technology relevant to the business area and enterprise architecture;
  • Demonstrated drive, energy, integrity and negotiating skills in dealing with customers and employees;
  • Ability to motivate and engage teams to achieve professional excellence;
  • Knowledge of Point-of-Sale (POS), Financial, Inventory Management and/or Human Resources systems would be considered an asset;
  • Project Management Certification would be considered an asset.

Salary:  In accordance with management salary scales
