The Newfoundland Labrador Liquor Corporation (NLC) is a provincial crown corporation in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada responsible for managing the importation, sale and distribution of beverage alcohol within the province.

Headquartered on Kenmount Road in St. John's, NLC operates 24 retail stores, services over 112 agency stores and distributes to more than 1,500 licensees. NLC's distribution network includes a central warehouse in St. John's and distribution centers in Central and Western Newfoundland.

NLC strives for excellence in meeting customer needs. NLC has opened several new stores in recent years and we have begun modernizing existing retail locations with the goal of having all of our retail outlets modernized by 2007. NLC offers customers a diverse product selection with about 2,200 active listings and does business with more than 30 countries. Gift-wrap services are also now offered in select stores year-round and gift cards, redeemable in any NLC location, are available for customers who need assistance in finding a gift choice.

In addition to being a retailer, NLC is a manufacturer responsible for blending and bottling in excess of 200,000 cases per year of high-quality spirits destined for domestic and international markets. To produce our products , raw materials are sourced from Guyana, France, Germany, Spain, Belgium, Jamaica and mainland Canada. Products include dark , amber, and white rums , Canadian whisky , brandy, vodka , and gin . One of the most well known products blended and bottled by NLC is Newfoundland Screech - a smooth, quality dark rum with deep roots in our province's history.

NLC has many roles - it is a retailer, manufacturer, exporter and an employer. Through all of these activities, social responsibility is a common thread. Being involved in the communities in which we do business is important to NLC. Through our retail stores, and with the dedication of our employees, NLC participates in various socially responsible initiatives throughout the year from fundraising campaigns to alcohol awareness and education programs.

NLC also operates in partnership with the provincial Government Services Centre and enforcement agencies to ensure compliance with the Acts and Regulations pertaining to the sale, transportation and distribution of beverage alcohol within the province. These Acts and Regulations include: the Liquor Corporation Act, the Liquor Control Act and Liquor Licensing Regulations.
